Annualized small multifamily lending volume reached $57.8 billion in Q3 2019, the highest level of activity in Chandan Economics’ post-crisis model estimates. As the cost of capital in the U.S. has declined, small multifamily borrowers are taking advantage of the opportunity to lock in low interest rates. As a result, we’re seeing record-high small multifamily investment volumes.
Small multifamily prices, as measured by the Arbor Small Multifamily Price Index, are continuing to rise steadily.
