James Devlin

James Devlin is a corporate and transactional counsel for Arbor and its affiliates’ real estate equity investments and real estate development transactions. He works with the structured bridge lending program on originating mortgages, mezzanine and preferred equity financing.

Mr. Devlin has over 15 years of legal industry experience and joined Arbor in 2019 as Vice President, Associate General Counsel. He previously served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at St. George Asset Management, and he was a real estate associate at law firms including Thacher, Profitt & Wood LLP and Greenberg Traurig, LLP.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude in History and English from Binghamton University and a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law where he was a Dean’s Scholar.
